The last year it was printed, I designed and produced the annual school catalog with InDesign. While the creative design was the cover, the PDF version was Sec. 508 compatible.

I directed the photoshoot and editing for the cover image. The back cover panorama was shot and edited by myself.

College Catalog - Design and Production

I produced the IMDPA (metal decorating) newsletter for six quarters while our department was a principle in the organization.

Role: I created the name of the publication (winning choice), and designed the nameplate. I also designed a standardized template for the issues with extensive paragraph and character styles. I also managed the advertising submissions. I published the PDF to Flippingbook.com.

Industry Newsletter

Bagels N Shmear brochure/flyer/menu is a direct mail piece folded and wafer sealed for mailing.

It is a menu, with perferated tear off coupons and business card on the bottom strip. Fold the coupons up, parallel fold the brochure and it can be mailed.

This was an InDesign 14 x 8 layout set up in 8 panels with two masters sized for folding.

JOMI, Oral & Maxillofacial Implants educational journal. I worked on this journal exclusively 2014–2016—and occasionally back matter for educational texts.

The workflow involved collaboration with the editor and occasionally the SME. I introduced photo retouching to increase the overall quality of the publication.

Client: Magazine for the American Bar Association, Civil Rights and Social Justice Dept.

Role: Project to create a publication and template for future magazines with layouts in masters, updated typography, and styles. The challenge was to find images as they did not want to invest in quality images for this version.

ABA - Magazine & Template

Client: Joliet Jr. College

Role: I did freelance work for a small marketing department, mostly creating collateral from strict templates. I was able to create a "my choice" poster design for an event as my final project. This was created in Illustrator and animated for the website.
